CRISIS COUNSELING: YOU ARE NOT ALONE

 
The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico was an environmental disaster, but for the people whose way of life stands to be affected, it may continue to be a mental health disaster as well. The Gulf of Mexico oil spill has prompted the Alabama Department of Mental Health to prepare a list of resources to aid in obtaining services and identifying potential mental health crises.

Call 911 if you are in need of immediate medical attention, or go to the closest ER.

Call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) for 24/7 suicide prevention services.

Call 1-800-367-0955 to find mental health services near you.

Call 211 for any type of assistance - crisis, housing, clothing, etc.
