Helping Industry Become More Competitive
The Alabama Technology Network helps manufacturers in Alabama improve their
global competitiveness through technical assistance, workforce training and
technology transfer. Through a cooperative network of business, education and
government, ATN is a primary source for identifying needs of and delivering
technical assistance, technology solutions, and customized training to
existing industry.
ATN links you, the industry, with technological resources from our network
of universities, colleges, businesses, and government to deliver the help you
need to be more efficient, more productive, more competitive. For example, ATN consultants might conduct detailed needs assessments, outline potential solutions based on the results, and then provide technical assistance to help you solve those problems or identify those who can. Does your industry need greater automation? Product development and design? Environmental assistance? ATN can provide the experts to make it happen. And, as a nonprofit organization, ATN provides these services at a reasonable cost to your business. Who is a Part of ATN?ATN is comprised of ten Centers that link the University of Alabama System, Auburn University, the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, and selected two-year colleges throughout the state. Each center tailors its services to meet local needs. ATN - A National Partner for Industry SupportIn addition to state resources, ATN is a part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), a program of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). MEP consists of more than 70 centers nationwide that provide manufacturers with technical assistance. As a partner, ATN has access to a wealth of tools, products, services and technical support.
