Advanced for the advanced.
When it comes to medical manufacturing and distribution, Baldwin County is home to a healthy share of thriving businesses. More than 8,000 people make their living in the medical industries here, including the largest medical equipment manufacturer in the region—The DentalEZ Group.
One of the reasons we have such a strong medical workforce is our commitment to robust medical workforce development. Training opportunities abound, with relevant programs at Faulkner State Community College and the Medical Institute in Foley, as well as the state of Alabama’s training initiatives for basic manufacturing skills, machine shop, fabrication and assembly, and more. Plus, reimbursement for up to 50 percent of wages is available for trainees in career center training.
