The Air Force has contracted with Goodrich Corp. to
repair engine-fan coverings on a fleet of Stratotanker planes.
The work will take place at Goodrich's service center in
Foley, Ala.
The Stratotanker provides aerial refueling to Air Force,
Navy, Marine Corps and allied aircraft.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Charlotte-based Goodrich (NYSE:GR) is a global supplier
of systems and services to the aerospace and defense industry.
The company's Alabama facility encompasses 165,000 square
feet of space and has 157 employees.
The Alabama Service Center was established in Fairhope,
Ala. in 1983 and moved to Foley in 2002.
