Despite a gloomy national and international economy and a distressed housing and construction market in Baldwin County, the Alliance is continuing to see industrial and white collar prospect activity. In the first week of February, alone, we are meeting with executives from an aerospace manufacturer, a regional corporate headquarters, a mixed use development company, and a plastics manufacturer. If a dual purchase decision is made by the Air Force for the KC-45 Tanker, aerospace prospects will grow exponentially. Continued diversification of the Baldwin County economy through the creation of high pay manufacturing, distribution and white collar jobs is necessary for the financial integrity of the county and all of our communities. It also benefits housing, construction and even the tourism industry. Short run successes are hard to predict, especially in times like these, but with your continued support we will prevail and Baldwin County will prosper.

The Alliance has settled into our new and expanded office space on the first floor of the Central Annex II building in Robertsdale at the corner of Hwy. 59 and Co. Rd. 104. We spent the past several years in the same building on the third floor. We are in need of additional furniture for the office. If your company has any furniture to donate to the Alliance, please let us know. Specifically we need 20 or more chairs for our Board table, an additional table for our meeting room: approximately 10' x 5', and a countertop or table that can be installed in a 93" x 19 3/4" space. We appreciate your
continued support of the Alliance! |
