Letter from the President

Thanks to the Baldwin County Commission and their outstanding staff, we were able to finalize extensions on our certified mega site through August 31, 2012.

A high level marketing committee has been set up to develop and implement an aggressive marketing plan. State, regional and utility partners have joined local officials in this effort. A strategic planning session facilitated by Donna Watts identified key site location consultants to target, developed a comprehensive calendar of key consultant events at which we must have representation, identified specific data most often needed by consultants, and set priorities for information delivery.

Web Enhancement update: We will soon be adding new features to our website which should provide real value to our cities in their retail recruitment efforts, and to investors who own or represent commercial properties. Thanks to a United States EDA grant, the site will also allow virtual tours of key industrial properties. It will be comparable to the best industrial websites in the World.

Thanks for your help, support and friendship.
